Josh Berning is an award-winning actor, writer, and standup comedian from Cincinnati, OH currently based in Chicago, IL.

He received acting training through UCLA’s Advanced Acting Institute and studied acting at the University of Cincinnati.

His screenplays have received recognition from the Austin Film Festival, Flickers’ Rhode Island International Film Festival, Outstanding Screenplays, and multiple international screenplay competitions, including award-winning festival runs for Towers and The Security Job. His writing focuses on character-driven, high-concept stories that blend sharp comedy with emotional stakes.

He is currently in Chicago performing improv and sketch comedy at The Second City Conservatory and Laugh Factory.
